This has been an on and off week! I've been working my butt off earlier this week. I was working on finishing different projects because I was going to leave Wednesday and be gone for two weeks. I haven't got any sleep until Wednesday night. I wouldn't want to work on my assignments on my "family vacation" but, I wouldn't like making up All my assignments once I got back.once I survived my prensentations in each of my classes I started to feel better. after school I had to pack two luggage for two different vacations that were back to back. There was no other thing I would wanna do then pack my bags and get outta there. I coulda slept more but I just wanted to make sure I packed everything I needed. The next morning I was excited to get on the plane. Getting the ticket and through security was a piece of cake. After the plane took off I started to do my homework and the girl next to me handed a note that said, 'how old are you? By the way I'm Ella. At first I was confused then I started laughing. We had like a long conversation. Once I arrived in O'Hare I knew I would have an awesome time.
Once I got here I hung out with one of my bestest friends. It's so fun to be here because I can't stop laughing no matter how hard I try! I got to hang out with some family members and my friends family. Later on in the week we stayed at a hotel the day before the wedding. The day of the wedding I got to see everyones hair and make up done. I had fun dancing with my friends and family. My friend and I drank like 10 shirly temples at that wedding, but I was so tired at the end of the wedding.

My writing My way..(Extra Credit!)
One of my favorite writing assignments is one that I did last year called Sun. This assignment, each student had to pick whether they like rain or sun better, I chose sun because i thought it would be easier to write about. Our task was to write a realistic story that ties into the sun or rain subject. The assignment was supposedly be a quick assignment, but felt super long and boring to me! while we had the whole class period to start on it, I just daydreamed and forgotten all about the assignment because I couldn't think of anything.
Next day we get the whole class period to work on our writing, since it was the last period day it feels like the longest. Looking out the window always got my boredom out. Near the end of the school day I looked at the window, which I sat close by, and saw the sun shining brightly. I was admiring everything/everyone outside enjoying the sun. I wished so bad for school to be over, and that became my idea for my writing assignment. My paper was counting down from fifteen minutes to the end of school. It included onomatopoeias, realistic imagery of the outside, and tons of metaphors and similes. whatever i saw outside it made my story build and shows the reader how long time really is. This is one of my favorite papers because I enjoyed writing what was right in front of me.
I always liked poetry, but not the boring poems which sounds "depressing but beautiful". They bore me because the audience already gets the point you're trying to get across. Meaningful poems are somewhat good but it goes on forever and you just start daydreaming until that poem is over.
I like the poems that have such a hook your mind is blanked out how it could be so mind blowing! I also like the poems that have silly devices to use and useless less words that will always get the crowd giggling. Imagery is one of my strengths in poetry or just plain writing; I just like analyzing/viewing anything and be descriptive as possible to let my audience know what exactly I'm seeing/hearing in my perspective.
My E-X-T-R-A Credit Blog hopefully I'll get enough points :)

The Joy Luck Club
For my outside reading book I chose, The Joy Luck Club, by Amy Tan. I never thought of reading any ethnic books such as this one. I wanted to read something different, because reading the same types of books over and over again can become boring after awhile. My book so far is introducing the eight main characters, four moms and four daughters. Each chapter is about a character's story, I think it will be a great plot. Readers would put together the pieces of the story and make it lead up to an exciting climax. I'm really interested how the eight characters will relate later on in the story. I predict Jing-Mei Woo will gather a meeting, and all the characters will be discussing a similar disaster in their families.
The characters make up the story being told. I haven't been introduce to all the main characters, but I'm guessing it'll be a key point. Each mother and daughter have a link in their childhood stories. For example; Ying-Ying St. Clair talks about Amah burning the five evils, whereas Lena St. Clair, her daughter, saw the bad things that were going to happen to children. The characters make the reader predict their actions through the course of the story. In this book, the characters have interesting/unusual backgrounds which have hidden relations with other characters or symbolism.

One of my annotations from this book was about the theme of the part in the book called, The Twenty-Six Malignant Gates. Each page of ,The Twenty-Six Malignant Gates, had a picture of terrible danger to young innocent children. From this allusion, you already know the characters involved might be or seen the destruction of innocence. I think this part of the book is similar to the theme in, To Kill a Mockingbird. This is because the symbol of that book is that the mockingbird stands for the innocence. No one is suppose to kill a mockingbird because it's just like destroying innocence.
For the creative project I would like to do a poster of the contradicting characters . I think that will tell enough of the book. The whole book is around these eight characters.

TKAM Extending the Theme
To Kill a Mockingbird was one of the most meaningful books I have ever read. Many themes can be made through many parts of the book. If you had enough time, I would guess you could probably come up with a theme for each chapter easily.
To Kill a Mockingbird reminded me my about my childhood limits. I thought about how I would react if I was in Scout's shoes. We had similar experiences at school when I was her age. "It's best reading with a fresh mind. You tell him I'll take over from here and try to undo the damage-" I can relate to Scouts experience when she knew more things than other students, and when she didn't meant to be able to learn how to read. In my first grade class we had to write or names in the beginning of the year and compare how well we improved. Majority of my classmates didn't write very well at the beginning of the year, when we compared and contrast, I felt unimproved. I dressed tom-boyish and had other relatives that were over the top, miss dressy too shoes. My family teased me for wearing jean pants or shorts and a normal t-shirt. You would only see me in a dress once every three months to school. While I was reading this book, it reminded me a lot of my six to seven year old look.
During the course of the book, I don't get a direct understanding. I usually read the next section and the idea pops back into my head. I didn't notice how Jem or Scout acts "adult-like" in some events, only looking back in various sections. Harper Lee has nice smooth transitions which make the reader blend to the upcoming event instead of the writing choppy transitions.
The characters are the key, key part in making it interesting. The characters have different personalities that contrast with other characters which gives an exciting plot!
Bye Bye for now, see ya next week!
